Tips For Checking Availability

Check-In/Check-Out days are usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday - Summer Months can be Tuesday - Thursday when we have events one and school holidays work around Bank Holidays. We do not allow dogs to stay in the cabins as they are allergen free.

Weekends usually have a 3 night minimum unless there’s very late availability.

Give us a call if you’d like a shorter stay in the coming days and you see there is availability on the website.

Weekdays have a 2 night minimum

Take a look at the ‘minimum booking’ row, this will give you guidance on what’s available.

Minimum stays are subject to change due to events.

HOT TUBS - during busy periods with same day changeovers the hot tubs will not be hot on arrival but will be by late evening if lids are left on. Toad Hall Hot Tub would not be hot until the following morning as it’s much larger and takes longer to heat. We empty, deep clean and refill and heat the hot tubs. Health and Safety is out top priority so please bare this in mind when booking. Many thanks

1. Our Commitment

At Happy Valley Norfolk, your wellbeing and enjoyment are our top priorities.
We maintain our site, accommodation, and facilities to a high standard and conduct regular safety checks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all guests.

However, by entering the site, guests acknowledge that Happy Valley Norfolk is a natural environment featuring uneven ground, open water, trees, wildlife, and rustic structures. As such, guests accept a personal duty of care to act responsibly and take reasonable precautions to ensure their own safety and that of others in their party.

2. Guest Responsibility

All guests agree to:

  • Take full responsibility for their own health and safety during their stay.

  • Supervise children and vulnerable persons at all times.

  • Wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for a natural, outdoor environment.

  • Use paths, bridges, hot tubs, fire pits, and all site facilities responsibly and at their own risk.

  • Follow all signage and staff instructions while on site.

  • Refrain from behaviour which may endanger themselves, others, or property.

  • Immediately report any damage, accident, or hazard to a member of staff.

Guests acknowledge that Happy Valley Norfolk cannot accept responsibility for:

  • Accidents or injuries resulting from failure to exercise due care or follow instructions.

  • Injuries sustained due to misuse of facilities, equipment, or natural features.

  • Loss or damage to personal property, vehicles, or belongings.

  • Adverse reactions to natural elements such as insects, plants, uneven ground, or weather conditions.

3. Fire Safety

  • Open fires and fire pits are permitted only in designated areas and must be attended at all times.

  • Guests must ensure fires are fully extinguished before leaving them unattended or retiring for the night.

  • Candles, tealights, and naked flames are strictly prohibited in all accommodation units and tents.

  • Smoking is not permitted inside any accommodation or communal building. Cigarette ends must be disposed of responsibly in the bins provided.

Failure to follow fire safety instructions may result in immediate termination of stay without refund.

4. Hot Tub Health & Safety

Use of hot tubs at Happy Valley Norfolk is strictly at the guest’s own risk. By choosing to use the hot tub, guests accept full responsibility for their own safety and that of anyone in their party who uses it.

General Safety

  • Each hot tub is maintained, tested, and treated regularly for hygiene and chemical balance. However, Happy Valley Norfolk cannot accept responsibility for any illness, skin irritation, or adverse reaction arising from use.

  • Guests must read and follow the hot tub guidance provided in their accommodation before use.

  • The hot tub should never be left unattended while in use.

  • The cover must remain in place whenever the hot tub is not in use to maintain temperature, cleanliness, and safety.

  • Guests must ensure no one under the influence of alcohol enters the hot tub if it could impair their safety or awareness.

  • The possession or use of illegal drugs on site is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the property without refund.

Health Conditions

  • Pregnant women, individuals with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, circulatory disorders, diabetes, or other medical conditions should consult a doctor before use.

  • If you experience dizziness, nausea, or discomfort, exit the hot tub immediately and seek medical advice.

Children

  • Children under 16 years of age are not permitted to use the hot tub unsupervised.

  • Infants and young children should not use the hot tub at all, as their bodies cannot regulate temperature effectively and there is a risk of overheating.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

  • Guests must shower before entering to remove oils, lotions, deodorants, and fake tan, which can affect water quality and filter systems.

  • No soaps, bubble bath, oils, or other products are to be added to the water.

  • No glass, food, or drink is permitted in or around the hot tub area. Plastic cups are provided where appropriate.

  • If the water becomes contaminated (e.g. with food, drink, or foreign substances), the guest may be liable for a £100+ drain and refill charge.

Usage & Temperature

  • Maximum recommended soaking time: 20 minutes per session.

  • Ideal temperature: 37–39°C. Do not attempt to adjust the settings or tamper with the control panel.

  • Always replace and secure the cover when finished to prevent accidents and conserve energy.

Behaviour

  • No jumping, diving, or submerging your head underwater.

  • Do not sit or stand on the hot tub edge or cover.

  • Please keep noise to a minimum, especially during evening hours, to respect other guests.

Liability

Guests acknowledge that:

  • They are responsible for their own use of the hot tub.

  • Happy Valley Norfolk will not be liable for injury, illness, damage, or loss arising from improper use or failure to follow instructions.

  • Misuse of the hot tub, resulting in damage, contamination, or call-out for maintenance, may result in additional cleaning or repair charges.

5. Environmental Hazards

  • Our glamping site is located within natural woodland and meadows; guests may encounter mud, insects, and wildlife.

  • Do not climb trees or structures not intended for access.

  • Avoid contact with wild animals and never feed them.

  • Use insect repellent and check for ticks after walks.

  • Respect all restricted or staff-only areas.

Guests accept that use of the site is at their own risk, and that nature is unpredictable. While we conduct routine maintenance and inspections, hazards can arise without notice.

6. Emergency Procedures

In case of emergency:

  • Call 999 immediately if urgent medical or fire assistance is required.

  • Notify a member of the Happy Valley team as soon as possible.

  • Follow staff instructions and evacuation procedures if required.
First aid kits are available on site; however, guests are responsible for their own personal medications and health needs.

By confirming a booking or entering the site, guests acknowledge they have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Health & Safety Policy and agree to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of themselves, others, and their property during their stay.

8. Liability

Happy Valley Norfolk, its owners, and employees accept no liability for:

  • Injury, loss, or damage to persons or property arising from the use of the site or facilities, except where caused by proven negligence on the part of Happy Valley Norfolk.

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control including weather, wildlife, or the actions of other guests.

Guests stay and use all facilities entirely at their own risk.
