🍃 Foraging Herb Walks at Happy Valley Norfolk

Step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in the magic of nature. Our Foraging Herb Walks are a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and discover the abundance growing all around us here at Happy Valley.

Katy from Artemisia who will be heading the herb walks - “Our core mission is to make high quality, affordable plant medicine available and accessible to all, nurturing a culture of health equality for all beings. We believe that by supporting people to reconnect with plants, we can help build the resilience of both individuals and the planet.

Our work brings together traditional herbal medicine with facilitated “meeting” of the plants. This approach is inspired by our training in herbal medicine and experience in social and therapeutic horticulture.”

If you’d like to join us you will be guided through our meadows, woodlands, and hedgerows, you’ll learn how to identify seasonal plants and explore their fascinating folklore, traditional uses, and natural benefits. The walk ends gathered around the fire with a cup of freshly brewed herbal tea and seasonal snacks — a perfect way to share stories and reflect on what you’ve discovered.

What to expect

  • A gentle 2-hour guided walk through the woodland and meadows

  • Insights into plant identification, folklore, and everyday uses

  • A small group experience (up to 15 people) for a relaxed and personal feel

  • A cosy finish with herbal tea and snacks by the fire
